Showreel

As I am currently completing my final year of university training, I have chosen to present two monologues in place of a full showreel.

These pieces showcase my range and performance ability while I continue to build professional screen experience.

A full showreel is currently in development and will be available soon.

Alice – "Rotterdam" by Jon Brittain

In this monologue from Jon Brittain's Rotterdam, I played Alice, who is struggling with her partner’s gender transition. She’s heartbroken over losing the person she once knew but also finally accepts that she’s a lesbian, something she has kept hidden for a long time.

This monologue is full of emotion. It starts with quiet memories, builds into frustration, and ends with Alice standing up for who she really is. I focused on being emotionally truthful, using breath and pacing to show Alice’s inner conflict between love and being true to herself.

This role connects to my passion for telling inclusive, real stories. It shows that I can play layered characters dealing with complex emotions like identity, love, and self-acceptance.

Isobel – "Bull" by Mike Bartlett

As Isobel in Mike Bartlett's Bull, I explored the cold precision of psychological manipulation. In this scene, Isobel calmly justifies her cruelty, exposing the brutal instincts that drive social hierarchies and power dynamics.

For this scene, I focused on controlled stillness, a steady voice, and small changes in tone to make her words even more cutting. It showed my skills in using subtext and pacing to reveal the unsettling power dynamics in the scene.

This monologue reflects my interest in strong, complex female characters, especially those who explore the darker, more difficult sides of human relationships.
